Venerable Acharya Lama Orgyen Zangpo is a monk and authorized lama in the Dzogchen Buddha Path lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. He has studied closely for many years with Tibetan meditation master H.E. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche, and is a resident of the Dzogchen Retreat Center USA. Kunzang Lama is a knowledgeable and accomplished teacher who presents the teachings in an easy-going and understandable style for all levels of practitioners.

Introduction to Buddhism classes
This winter season, we are offering four classes that will focus on some key fundamental principles of Buddhism and introduce simple tools for transforming negative emotions, increasing one’s personal happiness and becoming a powerful condition for helping others. Each session will be an informal dharma discussion followed by short practice from The Buddha Path, a practice manual by Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. Classes are at The Yoga Center–4689 South 2300 East (Holladay Blvd) at 7:00-8:30 pm.
December 6: The Four Noble Truths of the Enlightened
January 3: Creating good karma
January 31: Developing compassion
February 7: Practicing dharma in daily life
Everyone is welcome. No previous experience required. Drop in for any class, or plan to attend all four to deepen your practice. Suggested donation: $5.
This class will be taught by Joseph Evans (Orgyen Shiwo Dorje), who has been studying with Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche for 11 years, and has completed more than five months of retreat in the Dzogchen Shri Singha lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.

At the The Yoga Center–4689 South 2300 East (Holladay Blvd): 12/20, 1/17, 2/21 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, exploring the Preliminary, Sutra, and Bodhicitta practices.
For experienced Buddha Path practitioners: The local sangha meets at the SLC Main Library (conference room E, next to the children’s library downstairs) from 1:30-3:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month: 12/13, 12/27, 1/10, 1/24, 2/14, 2/28.
