Introduction to Buddhism and Buddha Path practice
New class starting in September: This weekly class will focus on basic principles of Buddhism and introduce simple tools for reducing worry and stress, calming the mind, developing love, compassion, and joy. Each session will be a short practice from The Buddha Path, followed by informal dharma discussion. Everyone is welcome; no previous experience required. By donation.
Authorized dharma teacher Joseph Evans (Orgyen Shiwo Dorje) has been studying with Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche for 12 years, and has completed more than six months of retreat in the Dzogchen Shri Singha lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.

Guest Teacher Alejandro on September 4th
For our first session in September, we will have guest teacher Alejandro Anastasio, stopping in from the Boise Dharma Center. Don’t miss this – he is awesome!! (And FYI, Joe will still be there, too).

AlejAndro Anastasio, authorized Dharma Teacher of the Buddha Path AlejAndro is an authorized dharma teacher who has studied Buddhism for the past 14 years under the direction of his root teacher, H.E. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. He has attended numerous week-long seasonal retreats with Khenpo Rinpoche and has attended the 2012, 2013, and 2016 Dzogchen Lineage One Month Internship and Drupchen where he received instructions and blessings to teach. AlejAndro’s dharma teachings are simple, deep and humorous, with a focus on application in one’s daily life. He is currently the director of the Boise Dharma Center, in Boise, Idaho.
Ongoing Buddha Path practice: new location and time!
Starting September 12th, we will meet at the Tibetan Community Center (135 West 2950 South) every Monday at 7 pm. For these sessions, we dive right into practicing The Buddha Path, so it is recommended to attend at least introductory class, first.
